Michael Joseph Solsman
Michael Joseph Solsman was born on May 10, 1956 in Cincinnati, OH to Betty Jane Winterberg nee Green and the late Charles Dominic Solsman. He passed away on September 24, 2012 in Port Orange, FL at the age of 56 years, 4 months, and 14 days.
Michael moved to Florida in 1981 from Kentucky. He retired on October 31, 2011 after 30 years as a correctional officer with the Florida Department of Corrections. Michael was an avid fisherman, and also enjoyed making custom fishing rods and tackle. He was a very loving and devoted son.
He is survived by his mother Betty Jane Winterberg of Port Orange, FL, cousins, Thirla Johnson and husband Raymond of Port Orange, FL and Dennis Judy and wife Judy of Vevay, IN, as well as several extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s name to Haven Hospice, 211 North Amelia Ave., DeLand, FL 32724
A memorial service will be held at St Edwards Catholic Church in Starke, Fl at 1pm on October, 6, 2012.
All arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Cremation and Memorial Chapel, Port Orange, FL.
