Mildred Rita Novotny's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Mildred "Millie" Novotny, 93, of Palm Coast, Florida. She passed away peacefully on April 6th, 2025 at home under hospice care surrounded by her sister Patricia (Dolly) Malacky, her niece and nephew Denise (Dave) Santa Maria, and great nephew David Santa Maria and great niece, Raven (Reed Lay) Santa Maria. For over 20 years, they all shared a close special bond living in the same multi-generational home together.
Millie was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 12th,1931 to Albert & Mary (nee Jacobsky) Novotny. She is survived by and loved and cherished by her great niece Sara (Neil) Blair, Nick Lindsey, Jonah and Noah Grubis, all of whom visited many times from Ohio to help provide care, love, and encouragement. These visits were especially meaningful and helpful as she battled various health issues toward the end of her life.
She is also survived by close family friends Kim, Jim, and Michael Gunter; her Ohio family and her nephew Dave's in-laws Danny, Connie and Richie Santa Maria and Debby (Brian) York, who loved her like their own.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Dorothy (Dick) Clow, Mayta (Wendy) Kubica, Betty (Floyd) Ostruh and Bernie Novotny; and nieces Joann Novotny and Carol Kubica and nephews Mike Ostruh and Bernie Novotny, Jr.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Mother of God Catholic Church located at 89 St. Mary's Place in Bunnell, Florida 32110. Interment will follow immediately after the Funeral Mass around the corner at St. Mary Cemetery located at 21 Cemetery Road, Bunnell, FL 32110.
