Pamela Kay Bennett's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Pamela Kay Bennett.
Pamela (Pam) Kay Bennett, age 64, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born to Charlotte and Jay Lawrence on May 22, 1959, in Stayton, Oregon. She graduated from Stayton High School and was a very active student. She loved to cheer on her high school team with her sister, Patti. Her loud clapping and cheering skills would be helpful in the future at her daughter Lexie's sporting events!
A devoted mother, cherished friend, and pillar of strength, Pam exemplified a can-do attitude and lived her life to the fullest. She found joy in every moment and radiated warmth and love to all who knew her. She was married to Bill Bennett for 38 years and lived in California, Idaho, Oregon and Florida.
Her greatest joy in life was supporting her daughter Lexie and her family. Pam poured her heart and soul into nurturing her family, creating memories and fostering a home filled with love and laughter. Pam was the biggest supporter at her daughter's sporting games, never missing an event and making sure the referees called a fair game!
Her love for entertaining was matched only by her talent for creating beautiful things through food, décor and crafts. Pam's zest for life and boundless creativity brought light and warmth to the lives of those around her, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and inspiration that will endure for generations to come.
Pam loved all of her nieces and nephews and spent countless hours playing with them. She loved to see her family grow and expand and took pride in the title "Great Aunt."
Pam had an innate ability to see the hidden potential in every space, an eye for detail, and a passion for breathing new life into homes. She and her husband, Bill, flipped and renovated many homes, including their most recent home in Palm Coast, Florida. Her talent extended beyond just the structure; she had a gift for recognizing the beauty in forgotten furniture pieces and restoring them to their former glory.
Pam was a courageous soul who faced melanoma with unwavering strength and determination. She showed incredible resilience and bravery throughout her battle, inspiring all who knew her with her fighting spirit and optimism. Despite her challenges, Pam remained a beacon of hope and comfort to those around her. Her legacy of courage and perseverance will forever be cherished by her loved ones and serve as a reminder of her indomitable spirit.
She will be deeply missed and is survived by her daughter, Lexie Bennett; her husband, Bill Bennett; her sister, Patti (Terry) Morrow; her brother, Brian (Laurie) Lawrence; and many nieces and nephews. Pamela Bennett leaves behind a legacy of love, strength and joy that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched.
A celebration of Pam Bennett's life will be held at Pringle Hall Community Center in Salem, Oregon, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with lunch starting at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable life. Hawaii was Pam's favorite place in the world, and her wish was that her loved ones wear Hawaiian attire to her celebration.
