Thank you Pam for bring light to my life
I haven't heard from Pam in awhile and just stumbled on this obituary. This breaks my heart! I worked with Pam at Pathways to Housing in NYC in the early 2000's. She taught me so much about art and healing and mental wellness. I can hear her say "in my class we aren't patients, we are photographers". I could go on and on about how much I learned from her and how important her work as resident photographer at Pathways was. Rest in power Pam. You are missed and your light in the world will not be dimmed.
I stumbled into this only to find out that Pam, a beautify soul that I had the privilege to have known and worked with has passed away a year ago. May her soul rest in peace. I have been in her team working on Amacho Wato project where I saw her love for human beings and for dedication to restore human dignity. It is heart breaking that it has been one year since her passing . I am in one of the pictures posted here. I don't think I have met her family when she hosted me and my sister in New York but I feel like I know them as she talks a lot about her grand children, her children. She shared her wisdom about building a loving family. It is hard to express my feeling but I hope we will gather one day with mothers from Amacho Wato to celebrate her life. My condolences to the family, and her friends all over the world. Good bye Pam and thank you for your unconditional love to all human beings.

The last time I spoke with her, her voice rang true and beautiful. She spoke as always with pride of her dearest granddaughters and beloved family. She told stories I’d heard before, of her mother’s singing voice, of the emptiness of her building during the pandemic, of the smart children and passionate teachers and strong mothers from Amacho Wato.
I will forever be grateful and inspired to have known Pam. She shared her wisdom, her love, and her zest for life so abundantly.
Condolences and love to all who loved her, especially her dear family.
Dear Robert & Family,
I can only hope that her memory will live on through her grandchildren and through all of the people she seemed to inspire throughout the world. She sounds like a wonderful soul and I am only sorry to have not met her here on earth...but, I should hope to be so graced with meeting her in heaven someday.
