Paul Becker Cochran
Paul Becker Cochran, of Port Orange, Florida, was born on October 14, 1919, in Watertown, NY, to the late Howard Stephen and Bernice Cochran nee Becker. He passed away on December 13, 2012, in Port Orange, FL, at the age of 93 years, 1 month, and 29 days.
He was raised in Watertown, NY, and was a veteran of the United States Army, obtaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4. Paul was a retired electrician, and a past board member of the Laurelwood Estates and the Beach Club Condo in Daytona Beach Shores. He enjoyed driving his golf cart, and caring for his family and friends. He moved to Port Orange from Watertown in 1984.
Paul is survived by his three children, Connie Van Brocklin of Port Orange, FL, Tracy Cochran and husband Jeff Zaleski of Lincolndale, NY, and Stephen Cochran and wife Mary of Littleton, MA. Six grandchildren, Steve, Mark, and Matt Van Brocklin, Alexandra Zaleski, Nigel and Callum Cochran, and his two great-grandchildren, Ella and Sadie Van Brocklin, also survive him.
Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vera Cochran, who passed away in 2005.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, December 28, at the First United Methodist Church, 305 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange. Inurnment will take place at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
