Pauline Lucienne Campochiaro's Obituary
Pauline Lucienne Campochiaro, 86, passed away on December 12, 2022 at Halifax Health Medical Center. Pauline was born on February 19, 1936 to parents Bertha Lessard and Dorillas LeClerc in Westbrook Maine. Pauline was one of 14 children (listed from oldest to youngest) Anita (Metivier), Guy, Roland, Gracia (Johns), Jane (Torza), Pauline, Alfred, Phillip, Roger, Gerard, Ida, Angela (Francoeur), Normand and David. Pauline grew up in a large, very loving and religiously devout family. Her first job was at the age of 14, following in the footsteps of many of the children in the family.
Pauline met the love of her life at Lake Compounce Amusement Park in Bristol Connecticut. She was going up the stairs to the ballroom and Bill was coming down the stairs. She caught his eye and he quickly turned around … and the rest was history. They married July 28, 1956 and moved to California where Bill was stationed in the Navy. Feeling California wasn't right for them, they moved to Connecticut where they eventually settled in Southington. There they raise their five children.
Pauline dedicated her life to her heavenly father Jehovah in 1958 which was the start of a life full of faithful service to her God, her husband, her children and her extended Christian family. Pauline was well known for her warm and generous hospitality. When you walked through the door of her home you became family. Her husband often said how much he appreciated the woman she was and credited that to her mother Bertha. He loved and respected his mother-in-law very dearly. Like her mother before her, Pauline was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; all of her family was very important to her.
Pauline is survived by her sisters Anita and Angela and her brothers Phillip, Roger and David. She leaves behind her five children William, Terrie (Ventrelli), Paula (Janeiro), John and Mark along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We look forward to the day when we will see Pauline and Bill together again in paradise. We love you mom. You will be missed.
