Peggy Ann McCullough Powell, 85 passed away on Monday, July 1st 2024 at Advent Hospital, Palm Coast Florida.She was born December 25, 1938, in Manhattan, New York. She was the daughter of the late James Charles McCullough, Sr. and Hercules "Lorrayne" Carroll McCullough. She was a Psychiatric Nurse Technician at Bronx State Psychiatric Center for 30 years before retiring and relocating to Florida. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and loving family member and friend to many. Peggy enjoyed music, dancing, travel, fashion, decorating, and cooking. She lived a life full of purpose, passion, and helping others.She is preceded in death by her parents, son Alfred Pine Hoe Jr. (Cassandra), Granddaughter, LaShaun Hoe, Grandson Tah-Kim Hoe, and Great Granddaughter Sarai Evans.She leaves to cherish her memory:Husband, Lawrence Powell of Palm Coast, FL; Brother, James McCullough Jr. of Long Island, NY; Sister, Sheila McCullough Jackson of Teaneck, NJ; Daughter, Charrisse Hoe-Rowe (Johnny) of Greensboro, NC; Sons, Mark Hoe (Renee) of Charlotte, NC, Derek Hoe of Greensboro, NC, Drake Hoe (Shontae) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Tori Hoe (Trisa) of Daytona Beach, FL; Brother-in-law and wife, Samuel and Paulette Powell; stepdaughters, Antoinette, Michelle, Vernelle; stepson, Lawrence Powell Jr., Desiree. Grandchildren: Mkia-Tari Crisp, Torria Ferguson (Torris), Shauna Crisp Baptist (Derrick), Gregory Isaiah Crisp (Alexis), Joshua Crisp, Elijah Crisp (Shanteka), Zipporah Hoe-Mickels, Julian Hoe, India Hoe, Shaquanna Hinds, Shamia McNeely, Tasheem Hoe, LaQuan Hoe, Tianna Hoe, Dyshawn Hoe, Drake Hoe, Jr., Terrell Coleman, Katia Jeter (Eddie), Zaire Hoe, Ta’Shon Hoe, Aiyonna Daniels, Devonte Matthews-Hoe, Toriah Matthews-Hoe, and a host of stepchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Homegoing Service honoring her life will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at the Heritage Funeral And Cremation Chapel, 4601 E Moody Blvd Unit G7, Bunnell, FL 32110. Pastor Brian Hoe, Sr. Officiating. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm and service will follow at 5:00 pm.
