Peter John Jacobelli's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter John Jacobelli of Brooklyn, NY, who left us peacefully in his home on November 23, 2025. Peter was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew him.
Throughout his life, Peter was known for his remarkable work ethic and his love of mechanics. He spent many years working on cars, a passion that brought him joy and fulfillment. His career in construction in New York was distinguished and inspiring—he worked his way up through the bricklayer’s union, eventually becoming a Foreman and later serving as an OSHA inspector. After an accident forced him to retire, Peter embraced new opportunities, moving to Georgia where he helped open an Italian ice business. Later, he and his wife, Diane Jacobelli, and son, Chad Jacobeli, moved to Florida and started a window cleaning business together.
Outside of work, Peter lived life to the fullest. He was an avid fan of action movies and wrestling, following the WWE with enthusiasm. He loved amusement parks and thrill rides, and in his younger years, he even enjoyed cliff diving. Swimming was a lifelong passion—whether in a pool or at the beach, Peter was always happiest in the water.
His love for motorcycles was another defining part of his life. He rode for years and, after moving to Florida, became part of the local motorcycle scene. His home in Florida was a source of pride, especially the pool he cherished and the pizza oven where he delighted in making creative pizzas for friends and family. Peter was known for his generosity, always eager to feed people and bring loved ones together—he was truly the life of the party.
Above all, Peter had a big heart. He cared deeply for those around him, loving fiercely and passionately. His emotions ran deep, and while his intensity sometimes got him into trouble, his intentions were always good. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
He is survived by his spouse, Diane Jacobelli, his loving children, Peter Jacobelli and Chad Jacobelli, and his cherished grandchild, Logan Jacobelli.
His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever treasure the memories they shared.
Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service assisted with the arrangements.
