Ralph L Corbett III's Obituary
Ralph Lester Corbett III, known affectionately as Trey, passed away on April 16, 2026, at the age of 59.
Born in Gainesville and raised in St. Augustine, Trey was a Floridian through and through and also treasured the summers spent in South Carolina with family. He moved to Palm Coast in 2008 and carried a distinct vibe—a zest for life, a love for the water, cruising the Caribbean, and a belief that life is meant to be enjoyed. His personality was charismatic and infectious; he could light up a room the moment he walked in. A proud Southern gentleman with country roots and quick wit, his character was shaped in part by childhood summers in Walterboro and Cottageville, South Carolina, surrounded by his grandmother, father, siblings, and a close-knit circle of aunts, uncles, and extended family.
Trey graduated from the University of North Florida and served as an Army Airborne paratrooper, a role that reflected the grit and discipline he carried throughout his life. Professionally, he was the owner of Veterans Title, where he was known for his dedication and reliability. Trey’s true calling was found in ministry and mentoring the youth, where he brought a sharp mind for Scripture and a gift for meeting people in life’s most significant moments with compassion, steadiness, and faith. A man of deep faith and a legendary sense of humor, he was known for his smile and the way he made people feel at ease. Loving, caring, and generous, he was always willing to lend a hand—and just as ready to offer a listening ear.
Trey is survived by his devoted wife, Kathleen Corbett; his bonus daughters, as he affectionately referred to them, Kayla Doucette and Lindsey Doucette; and his granddaughter, Kaira. He is also survived by his siblings: Susan Corbett Quary, Kim Corbett Watson, Sherri Corbett Walker, Terri Corbett Crosby, Marguerite Grawet Whitcomb, Michelle Grawet Vey, Christopher Corbett, Mitchell Corbett, and Michael Grawet, and his loving and devoted niece Mindy Corbett.
A memorial service to celebrate Trey’s life and legacy will be held on May 15, at 5:00pm at the Compass By Margaritaville, Flagler Beach, on the rooftop deck.
Heritage Funeral and Cremation is handling the arrangements.
