Richard J Guillot's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard J Guillot, 78, of Palm Coast FL. Born in Brooklyn NY on January 27, 1945, Richard passed away peacefully on January 31, 2023.
Richard was born to Henry Guillot and Annette DiGirolamo and was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Charmagne Guillot whom he met June 21, 1988 while playing co-ed softball, they were married March 19, 1995.
Rich's children from a prior marriage Richard C Guillot (Stephanie Wilson), Jenifer Guillot, Courtney Guillot Blaney (Elliot Blaney), and his children with Charmagne, Jonathan R Guillot, Alex C Guillot, Patrick H Guillot, Teesha J Guillot and Rebekah A Guillot and six grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Prior to retirement in 1979 Richard was a salesman for Canada Dry. He was a member of several organizations in the community such as Citizens on Patrol, Upward Basketball, and First Impression Parking Assistant.
Richard was a caring and loving man to all those who knew him and he always had a wonderful sense of humor that he shared with everyone he met. He was the best friend you were fortunate to have. He enjoyed all kinds of sports but baseball was his favorite and from a young age he played ball every chance he had until his last days - even trying out for the New York Yankees in 1964 - playing for the New York over 40 - coaching Little League years before having his own kids to coach when they moved to Florida.
Memorial services will be held on February 8th at 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service located at East Moody Boulevard in Bunnell FL. In leu of flowers the family ask that you make a donation to one of the charities that meant a lot to Rich; Diabetes Center of America, Autism Speaks or Parkview Church of Palm Coast.
Richard will be greatly missed by all who knew him, please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this time as they adjust to life without their beloved husband & father Richard J Guillot.
