Richard James Grasso
Richard James Grasso of Daytona Beach, FL was born January 29, 1932 in New Britain, CT to the late James Grasso and Josephine Mary Grasso nee Aparo and passed away March 1, 2015 in Port Orange, FL at the age of 83 years.
Richard served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, loved life and appreciated the smallest wonders in life. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved singing Italian opera. He loved to dance and even taught dancing, he was a great cook of Italian cuisine, and was a semi-pro boxer and taught boxing at the YMCA.
He is survived by his companion and friend of 15 years, Gerri Sanders, a son, Mark Grasso, daughters; Linda Grasso, Deborah Grasso, and Carla Grasso. He also leaves behind his brother, Robert Grasso and 8 grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the care of Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service, Port Orange, FL.
