Ricky Brown's Obituary
Ricky was a longtime resident in Miami, Florida and recently move to Palm Coast,
Florida in November 2020. While living in Miami he attended Orchard Villa Elem.,
Douglass Elem, Brownsville Jr. High and MacArthur Sr. High.
After completion of school Ricky joined his father doing construction work. Then
later got a job working for Miami Dade Solid Waste Department, until he became
disable. Ricky started collecting strap metal and became self-employed
distributing metal.
Ricky was a member of Peaceful Zion Missionary Church where he married his
late wife Danetta Marlow.
The Lord felt it was time for Ricky to rest in the garden of eternal peace and came
for his angel on April 29, 2023. This caring, kind and considerate person took
death’s hand without fear. God will must be done as stated in book of
Ecclesiastes 3.2. A time to be born and a time to die.
There’s a party in heaven as Ricky is now reunited with his father, mother, wife,
two sisters Cynthia Jenkins, Mona Brown and his nephew Terrance Jenkins. As he
celebrates walking through the heavenly gates, he leaves behind five siblings in
God’s care: four sisters Brenda Lowe (Elijah), Vickie Brown (Maynard), Tracy and
Sandra Brown, brother Jeffery Brown. Two nieces Voncile Scruggs and Keaudra
Wiliams (Cambry) and seven nephews Jefferson Thomas, Corey Thomas, Lazarus
Morris, Johnathan Mortimer (Monica), Devante’ Lowe, Cameron Bell and Jaquan
Brevard. Aunties late Annie Bell Johnson, Helen Frazier, Dorothy Grant, Carolyn
Jenkins, Genie Jenkins, and Cecillia Jenkins. Late uncles William James Jenkins and
Ellis Griffin, Nobie Jenkins. A host of grand nieces and nephews, aunties, uncles,
cousins, family and friends.
A poem from Sandra
Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard,
but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear.
