Ricky Robinson's Obituary
Ricky Lee Robinson, 65, departed this life on October 25th, 2023, on an early Wednesday morning, peacefully in his sleep, as he was battling bone-marrow cancer and heart failure. Born in Akron, Ohio on August 17th, 1958, Ricky was the youngest of nine, and the child of Mary and PJ Robinson. Having spent a good portion of his life in Ohio, he soon moved to Florida, where he met his wife Nina, and settled in the little town of Palm Coast, back when Palm Coast only had two main roads.
Ricky was a man of many skills; he was a professional craftsman, floor-cleaner, landscaper, painter, and many more. He ran his own independent business, Trustworthy Floor Cleaning & Polishing for over 20 years, and left a proud mark on his community. A proud perfectionist, he wouldn’t stop until he knew the job was done, and the customer would be satisfied.
Ricky was also a man of many talents and hobbies as well; above all he loved to roller skate. Having started rollercoasting when he was younger than 10 years old, he grew into a very skilled skater, to the point where he even had a documentary filmed about him, Skate Yourself Clean, that won first place in the 2013 short-film festival it was submitted into. He also was a proud fisherman; having won a few fishing competitions when he first moved to Florida.
Perhaps the most important to Ricky, was his faith. No matter what the circumstance was, no matter how bad things got, he always held onto his faith, and helped raise others up.
We will love and miss you deeply, and thank you for all that you have done for everyone. You have impacted the lives of everyone you’ve come across, and we hope to let your spirit walk with the lord, like you always dreamed of. We all hope to see you flashing that beautiful smile, as you walk amongst the stars.
