Robert A. Kroll
Robert A. Kroll, 82, of Port Orange passed away peacefully on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler in Port Orange, FL. He was born April 10, 1930 in Anderson, IN, to the late Arthur J. and Frances T. Kroll of Spring Lake Heights, NJ.
Bob was a veteran, having served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-54. He has resided in Florida since 2004.
He was preceded in death by his brother Arthur Kroll (1939) and sister Frances A. Bennett (2010).
Bob is survived by his children, Lauren Kroll of Newton, MA, Melissa J. Gaffney of Middlesex, NJ, David A. (Elizabeth) Kroll of Needham, MA, Cathleen T. (George) Christoff of Lebanon, NJ, and the Rev. Jeffry D. (Vivian) Kroll of Mountain Lake Park, MD. His brother James (Sveta) Kroll of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren; Mallory Kroll, Daniel, Matthew and Kelly Gaffney, Sarah and Susanna Kroll, Richard, Timothy and Benjamin Kroll; great granddaughters Amerie and Liliana Meza. Nephews, Paul Kroll, Jim Bennett, and Billy Peebles; nieces Cathy Bennett and Pam Durnin; as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews.
A private memorial will be scheduled in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Robert’s name to The Myositis Association, 1737 King St., Alexandria, VA 22314 and/or a charity of the donor’s choice.
