Robert "Bob" Berry's Obituary
Robert "Bob" Lee Berry
January 11, 1960 – July 9, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Lee Berry, a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the Emery Bennett Veterans Nursing Home in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was 65 years old.
Born on January 11, 1960, in Troy, Ohio, Bob was the beloved son of the late Floyd and Marjorie Berry. Raised with deep family values and a strong sense of duty, he lived a life marked by quiet strength, fierce loyalty, and unwavering patriotism. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps—an honor that shaped his life and remained a cornerstone of his identity.
Though life took him far from his Ohio roots, Bob’s heart always belonged to the hills of Greenup, where he will be laid to rest beside his cherished mother in the Dickison Family Cemetery at a later date.
Bob is survived by his devoted sisters, Bonita Nicks (David) and Annette Perry; his loving niece and nephews: Mandy Bair, Thomas Perry Jr., and Charles Bryan Smith Jr. (Cindy); and his treasured great-nieces and great-nephews: Tylor, Caylee, Alyssa, Emi, Joey, Steven, and Levi. His family will forever remember his gentle spirit, his protective nature, and his deep love for those closest to him.
The Berry family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Emery Bennett Veterans Nursing Home for the kindness and care they extended to Bob during his final chapter.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral and Cremation.
In Bob’s honor, we remember a Marine, a brother, an uncle, and a man who lived with humility, purpose, and heart. May he rest in peace, knowing he served well—his family, his country, and his Lord.
“Semper Fi, Marine. Your watch is over.”
