Robert Allen Deem's Obituary
Robert Allen Deem, 55, of Palm Coast, FL passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Oak Park, IL on February 2, 1969 to Gregori and Sandra (nee Crain) Deem.
Growing up in the outskirts of Chicago, Robert was a die hard fan of the Bears and the Cubs. In the midst of the tough seasons, he was happy to be able to witness their winning 1985 Super Bowl and 2016 World Series seasons. In his spare time, Robert really enjoyed bowling, cooking and grilling. Those who knew him well would also say he loved classic hard rock and heavy metal, especially the band KISS.
Robert was the beloved butcher at Winn-Dixie, where his friendly and down to earth personality was appreciated daily. No one was a stranger for long when they chatted with Robert. He could talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime. Robert was a true friend to everyone- and really would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
On August, 25, 2001, Robert married the love of his life, Sharon Bell, in Melrose Park, IL. They moved to Palm Coast in March of 2002 to help care for and support Sharon's parents. While they didn't have children, Sharon and Robert showered their 3 dogs Coco, Doc, and Rachel with the love and affection you'd expect from dog lovers.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Gregori and Sandy. He is survived by, Sharon Deem, his wife of 23 years; his brothers Wayne Deem and Christopher (Jennifer) Deem; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his clients, his family, and his friends- most notably "Lil" Dave Bruno, with whom he had stayed best friends with since kindergarten.
