Robert Wimmers
Robert Wimmers, 71, of Palm Coast, FL, died Wednesday, November 14th at Florida Hospital Flagler. Bob was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela of Dutch parents and was raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he attended The Lincoln School. He graduated from Adelphi University where he played soccer and helped his team secure a victory championship record which still stands.
Bob spent his career in International Sales traveling the globe and expanding into new markets both at Wallace Silversmiths and Cuno Filtration Systems. He was an avid sailor, a great dancer, loved to sing and laugh and always had a twinkle in his eye.
He is survived by his wife Susan, his daughter Laura of St. Charles, IL, his son Michael of Islip, NY, his son Jay of Lincolnton, NC and their families including 8 grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date on Long Island Sound.
