Roger Everett Gilbert
Roger Everett Gilbert of Bunnell, FL, was born on February 13, 1966 in Onondaga, NY, to David Alan Gilbert and Barbara Jean (Holl) Gilbert. He passed away on February 17, 2013 peacefully at home at the age of 47 years.
Roger was a US Air Force Veteran, and a mason by trade. He moved to Florida in 1970 from New York. He was a member of the Flagler West Community Church, and had served as a volunteer on the St. John’s Park Fire Department for over 10 years.
Roger enjoyed carpentry, fishing and hunting, drawing, painting, and watching NASCAR on TV. He was a very devoted and caring husband and father, who never missed an opportunity to spend time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Sherry of 26 years, his daughters; Alyssa and Caitlin Gilbert, parents; David and Barbara Gilbert. Also surviving are his siblings; Michael (Lisa) Gilbert and Deborah (Gary) Cline, his nieces; Kayla and Stacie Cline, and his father-in-law; Tommy Munsey.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Flagler West Community Church 99 East C.R. 2006 Bunnell, FL 32110
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roger's name to the Flagler West Community Church PO Box 27 Bunnell, FL 32110
