Ronald Carlton Johnston's Obituary
Ronald Carlton Johnston was called to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, March 1, 2025,
after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 19,1956 in Bunnell to Ernest Carlton and Mary Lucille Johnston.
He is predeceased by his parents, Brothers: Dewayne Metts and his wife Mary Jane, and
John Metts, Sisters: Sylvia Johnston and Mary Helen Baker.
He is survived by his sister Deborah Henderson and husband Larry, and numerous nieces
and nephews, and their families, his friend Sherry Jackson and his dog Bo.
Ronnie was a direct descendant of the Johnston family who were the early settlers of
Flagler County. He was a member of Bunnell Methodist Church. As a young adult he traveled with a
church group to the Holy Land and experienced the sites and cultures.
The Methodist Church produced the Last Supper dramatization and he played the
disciple John. He was also a boy scout leader. He loved to fish at Flagler Beach.
He was a graduate of Flagler Palm Coast high school and later in his life he worked
in the maintenance department until his retirement.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, March 15, 2025
at Espanola Cemetery.
