I was an intern at Good News Church for a month, and in this short time, I met Ronnie Lester. He was an inspiring man, working with EE full of passion. I don't have so much to say about him, but I'll never forget this man. Rest in peace, in the Lord's presence.
Wow - praising Jesus up to the end - the world lost a great man but heaven gained a mighty angel. Ronnie will be missed by all who knew him on earth - but those who he knew and led to Jesus will see him again. That doesn't ease the pain but it is a reminder that we will meet again, on those golden street and in the loving arms or our Savior Jesus Christ. So until that day arrives Ronnie - farewell - your body is in no more pain - your spirit is strong and renewed. You will be missed but remembered always as a great man of God! I am always amazed on the road God lays before us and the beautiful people we meet. Ronnie and Lynn are on the list of beautiful people we have met on God’s road to see glory! We, Hud Malissa and I were blessed by meeting Ronnie and Lynn at Goodnews and going through the EE program and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and also being a part of leading folks to Jesus. I’ll always smile when I think of Ronnie! What a great smile he has! So thankful that we will see him in Paradise! Love you Lynn🤗
I have so many great stories about Ronnie having known him since the mid80s. The greatest story though is when Ronnie surrendered to Jesus' invitation to know him and make him known. Ronnie was older than most people when he began his journey with Christ but he made up for those many years by giving it his all to see others introduced to Jesus. He and I fought crime together with the same agency; we fought cancer together; and we shared our faith with others. He may not have been seminary trained but boy was he excited about Jesus. Ronnie always gave a maximum effort at whatever task was at hand. I'm thankful for the assurance he is now resting in the Lird's presence. After the last extended battle he fought against cancer, I know he's happy to have no more pain, not sorrow. Those of us who know Christ and those we lead to Christ will one day be reunited. Lynn was always there for him and I know that meant the world to him. Rest in peace my brother and I'll see you in glory.
Met Ronnie about 10 years ago and have been out with him sharing Jesus. Ministered with Ronnie in the county jail and shared many hours with him and Lynn and he was always about Jesus business. Ronnie did not complain about being sick but talked about who he had shared the Lord with in the waiting room, office, hospital visits or chemo treatments.... it did not matter when or where. He will be missed but left a legacy of loving the Lord and sharing Him with whoever the Holy Spirit put in his path. Well done
I first met Ronnie and Lynn through EE training. I knew that they were solid Christians then and still are. Ronnie and I became close friends. We would go to different locations to spread the word. He was a natural. We had more in common than we knew. He was born in southwestern Virginia, were most of my relatives are from. We both grew up in Florida. We both are Vietnam Veterans. He taught me more about the Bible than I knew. Ronnie was my mentor ❤️👍🙏 I will miss him very much:flag-us:😢
