Roy J Miller Jr's Obituary
Roy J. Miller Jr., 84, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away peacefully at his residence on July 28, 2026.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Roy was the son of the late Roy and Rosemary Miller. He proudly served his country in both the United States Coast Guard and the United States Air Force. Throughout his life, Roy was dedicated to serving his community and those around him.
While living in Niceville, Florida, Roy served as the Assistant Fire Chief. He was also a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, worked as a security guard, and was an amateur (ham) radio operator. A man of faith, Roy faithfully served as an usher at his church for many years. He was known for his commitment to service, strong work ethic, and the friendships he made throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Miller; his son, Edward J. Miller and wife, Tara; his daughter-in-law, Patricia Miller; his grandsons, Roy J. Miller IV and Allen J. Miller; his stepdaughter, Linda Welch; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents and son, Roy J. Miller III.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Middleburg, Florida.
