Roy D. Reim's Obituary
Roy D. Reim, age 75, a resident of both Camdenton, Missouri and Flagler Beach, Florida passed away at 5:24 p.m., September 3, 2019 at Palm Coast, Florida. He was born June 14, 1944 at Douglas, Oklahoma to Erick and Justa Hays Reim. He was a 1962 graduate of Galt, Missouri High School and 1971 graduate of Northwestern State College in Alva, Oklahoma. He was a veteran serving in the US Army and was deployed to Vietnam. Roy married DeEtta Allen on June 1, 1969. They celebrated 50 years of marriage and being best friends, June 2019. He retired from the Milan, Missouri USPS in 2009, as a rural mail carrier. He and Dee spent their retirement years at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri and Flagler Beach, Florida. Roy loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed many hours fishing at the lake and surf fishing in Florida. He and Dee cherish their many retirement friends. He loved to visit and always had a humorous story to tell. He had a truly blessed life and retirement. Roy is survived by his wife DeEtta of Camdenton, Missouri and Flagler Beach, Florida, son Scott Reim of Chillicothe, Missouri, daughter, Angela Reim Childs of Columbia, Missouri, granddaughter Paige Childs of Memphis, Tennessee and her father, Craig Childs of Centralia, Missouri, brothers Raymond Reim of Meno, Oklahoma, Gary Reim of Centerville, Iowa, sisters Doris Key of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Janice Ellis of Trenton, Missouri and his mother-in-law Joan Allen of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leon, Loyd Lee and John Reim and sisters Donna Reim and Rita Reim Dickerson, and his father-in-law Bob Allen. At Roy’s request there will be no services at this time. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family.
