Sadie J Powell's Obituary
Sadie J. Short Powell, age 82 of Palm Coast, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House.
Sadie was born March 13, 1938 in Harlan, KY, to the late Harvey Olan Short and Margaret Eva Marion Short. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Short and sister Mae Short Lankford.
Sadie was a member of the Stetson Baptist Church.
A visitation will take place at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service on Thursday at 10:30 AM, the funeral service will follow beginning at 11:30 AM with Reverend Benny Tart officiating. The graveside burial will follow in the "Committal Shelter" at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery beginning at 2:00 PM.
Sadie is survived by her husband Roy Powell (of 62 years), three sons, Rick (Connie) Powell of DeBary, Ron (Janet) Powell of Monroe, N.C., and Troy Powell of Palm Coast; and two daughters, Glenda (Santiago) Powell of Palm Coast, and Tammy (Seth) Cowan of Weir, MS.; twelve grandchildren; Jason and Wesley (Rick) Powell, Ryan and Laura Young (Ron) Powell, Cruz, Hunter and Seth (Glenda) Santiago, Holly (Harrison), Hope and Tyler (Tammy) Smeresky, Jake and Caleb (Troy) Powell and eleven very precious great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jake Powell, Wesley Powell, Caleb Powell, Tyler Smeresky, Cruz Santiago, and Hunter Santiago.
