Sally Elizabeth Fiducia's Obituary
Sally Elizabeth Fiducia, 73, passed away on August 9th, 2023, around 9:30 am. Sally was born on March 15th, 1950 in Staten Island, NY to the late Madeline and Joseph Fiducia.
Sally Fiducia was a graduate of Richmond College (CUNY) with a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a minor in History. She then went on to follow her passion to become a teacher where she began her journey working for the Marshall Schools in Staten Island, NY (1975 to 1980) and then a NYC kindergarten/first grade teacher at P.S. 11 in Brooklyn, NY (1982 to 1993). After her time as an educator, Sally worked at the New York Public Library, Dongan Hills, Staten Island, NY branch as a librarian assistant (1998 to 2000).
Throughout life, Sally had many hobbies including but not limited to reading, arts and crafts, genealogy, acting, and dining out. She loved trying different ethnic cuisines. Sally loved to travel and visited many different places. Some of her favorite trips included the Grand Canyon, Ischia, Italy (where her family is originally from), Alaska, and Mexico. She also traveled extensively throughout Italy, France, England, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and the Caribbean. Although Sally’s main language was English, she spoke conversational Italian. It wasn't until 2014 that Sally decided to relocate to Palm Coast, FL to spend her time with her family.
Sally Fiducia was preceded in death by her parents, Madeline and Joseph Fiducia. Sally Fiducia is survived by Diane Smith, Ramona Smith, Melissa Davis, Lisa Martino, Steve Martino, Stephanie Martino, Doreen Lindstrom, and Barbara Vaccaro, along with many extended family and friends.
A memorial mass was held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast, FL on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Her final resting place will be with her parents at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
Sally will be laid to rest with her parents at Resurrection Cemetery, on Staten Island on Friday, September 15th at 10 a.m. The grave location is Section 10, Row 46, Burial Space 6. Here is the website for more information: https://calvaryandalliedcemeteries.com/resurrection-cemetery/
