Sandra Sue Rhudy's Obituary
To quote one of Sue's friends..."truly a bright and shining light has left this world."
Sue died on July 23rd at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House (Advent Health Hospice) in Palm Coast, FL. She was 75 years YOUNG.
After a near paralyzing accident 5 1/2 years ago, she had been (reluctantly 😆) residing with her sister in Florida while maintaining her parents' home in Marion, VA.
Sue's career as a registered nurse in Lexington, KY resulted in close friends near and far who recall her as a kind, sweet, loyal friend with a wonderful sense of humor. Her favorite hobby was pursuit of knowledge (should have been a participant on Jeopardy), loved PBS (especially the series "Keeping up Appearances"), history channel and TCM old movies. Politics came into play every day...a true Democrat, she was active with the Women's Democratic Party in Lexington, fundraiser and host for local politicians, and commiserated every day with her sister re former (ahem!) and present politicians.
Sue is survived by her sister, Martha, and will be buried beside her parents, William F. and Nancy Hash Rhudy in Blue Springs, VA cemetery with a celebration of wonderful memories and stories to be shared with family and friends at a future date still to be determined.
