Sandra Georgette Scott's Obituary
Sandy Scott, 82, passed away leaving behind a legacy of compassion, creativity, and fierce advocacy. Beloved wife to Harry, a cherished mother to Michael, Joseph, Wendy, and Courtney, and a Most Treasured Sister (YMTS) to Joe and sister-in-law, Daphne, a cherished cousin and friend to so many, Sandy lived a life defined by her generous spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others.
Throughout her remarkable career, Sandy passionately advocated for those who could not speak up for themselves. Her dedication to justice and kindness touched countless lives, reflecting the deep empathy that guided every action she took.
An ardent animal lover, Sandy’s affection for all creatures was as boundless as her heart, and she found joy in the simple wonders of life. She will be dearly missed by her fur children and grandchildren, Norman from Accounting, Phoebe, Austin, Lady Jack, Roman, Three, Bazooka, and Nukey. We believe in our hearts that she’s been reunited with the hundreds (thousands?) of pets that came before them.
A true music lover, Sandy delighted in the soulful tunes of Ray Charles, the poetic expressions of Bob Dylan, and the timeless harmonies of the Eagles. These sounds were the backdrop to a life filled with art, curiosity, and humor. Sandy’s artistic flair and keen curiosity enriched every conversation, every gathering, and every creative endeavor she embraced.
While our hearts are broken by her absence, we find solace in the hope that she has been reunited with her mom and dad, Tibby & Vudge, husband, Scotty, and daughter, Wendy. Her memory lives on in the laughter and love of her devoted family—including her children and their tremendous and supportive partners, Tim, Cathy, and Maggie, as well as Mike and Maggie’s amazing kids, Jacob and MJ.
Sandy’s legacy is one of love, advocacy, and an unyielding zest for life. She will be forever missed, remembered, and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
We await our feathers.
