Dr. Sajjadi convinced me that I was good at math when he taught me in a partial differential equations class in spring 2013. I was supposed to graduate that spring with a degree in meteorology, but he convinced me to stay on for a degree in computational math on one our walks after class from the portables at ERAU to his office. On those walks we would talk about everything from math to oceanography and meteorology to Pink Floyd and I will always cherish those memories. I was able to pursue my capstone project under his advisement and he was always willing to right me a letter of recommendation to advance my studies. Last September he wrote me a letter of recommendation to get into a PhD program in statistics and I was accepted in part because of his words for me. Dr. Sajjadi has been one of the biggest influences on my academic life and even though it has been months since his passing I wanted his family to know how much he meant to me and how much he helped me get to where I am and where I will go. My condolences to his family, but I would like them to that I will never forget how he changed my life just by believing in me when a lot of people didn't. I am eternally grateful to have known this man, even if it was for just a short time and I will miss him.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful man with this world,
Mason Bray
