Even though we are first cousins we never got to make a memory in person for we have never met. Our memories were through the emails and Facebook messages we shared. I am glad I found her. She sounded like a wonderful person that loved her family very much.
Shar was part of our Lutherans Online family. She will be missed by many who knew her virtually and some who were blessed to meet her in person (I was!). Many prayers of comfort of peace for your family; I know she will be missed greatly. Cindy Craig from Columbia, MO aka Smiley :)
I loved when Sharlene would come to visit us in Michigan!!! She would sit for hours sharing stories that we would forget about!!! A very spiritual lady!!! She will be missed so much!!!! We love you dearly!!! Chris,Linda, Shelby,Dean, and your Birthday buddy Christopher Battley!!!
Besides her family, Sharlene loved the Lord and the LWML. We spent many years working together and she was always a pleasure and a delight to room with or just to share good times with. She will be greatly missed. Jean Roehrs
Vivian and I hold a special place in our hearts for Sharlene. She always embraced us with hugs and a listening ear. I still have fond memories visiting Jim & Sharlene's home in Lansing as we got to swim in their pool - that was always a lot of fun.
