Sharon K Skaer's Obituary
Sharon K. Skaer, nee Kleinschmidt, 73, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on April 7, 2021. Sharon was a beloved wife, Mom and MaMa. Sharon lived most of her life on the family farm in Millstadt, Illinois until she moved to Palm Coast, Florida in 2019.
Sharon was born September 26, 1947 in Belleville, Illinois. She made many friends while working for Scott Air Force Base, Belleville, Illinois for over 40 years. She held the title of Facility Maintenance Controller or as everyone she worked with knew her as the “Money Lady”. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and vacationing with her family particularly staying at Ocean East in Ormond Beach, Florida.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Milton and Izora Kleinschmidt, and her brother Gary Kleinschmidt.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Robert Skaer, daughter Angela Skaer, granddaughter Ashley (Erik) Skaer-Tilley, the light of her life great-granddaughter Aria Tilley and nephews. Sharon also had 3 very important people in her life she considered her own: Kendra Haas,
Cari Reinneck, & Scott Andrews; and a family of close loving friends who will feel her lose terribly.
A memorial service will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Floraville, Illinois on May 15, 2021 at 10am with Pastor Matt Friz officiating.
As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the family.
