Socorro Amoros
Socorro Amoros, 75, of Deltona, passed away on July 23, 2012 at the Florida Hospital Deland. She was born on December 12, 1936 in the Bronx, NY to the late Anthony and Carmen Amoros.
Socorro was a graduate of the Monroe College in the Bronx, and enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. She moved to this area in 2004, coming from the Bronx.
Socorro is survived by her 2 sons, Daniel Hernandez, and Dennis and wife Emily Hernandez. Her sister Carmen Amoros, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her friends at the College Arms Senior Living Facility in Deland.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dominic Hernandez, her brother Anthony “Sonny” Amoros, and her sister Millie Amoros.
A private family viewing was held on Friday, July 27, 2012, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm from the Heritage Cremation Memorial Chapel, 620 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, FL. All arrangements were under the care of Heritage Cremation & Memorial Chapel, Port Orange, FL.
