Stanley V Makowski's Obituary
Stanley "Stan" Makowski, aged 69, passed away on March 20, 2024, in Palm Coast, Florida. Stan was born on January 9, 1955, in Boston, MA, to the late Antonina (Lyszkowska) and Jan Makowski. He was a dedicated husband to Lucy Makowski and a beloved brother to Alice Makowski and the late George Makowski. Stan was a loving father to Janet Thompson and her husband Neil of Merrimack NH, Valerie Clark and her husband Bill of Norwell MA, and step-father to Clinton Dziki of Attleboro MA. He was also a cherished grandfather to Abby, Ellie, Owen, Will, Shea, and Levi.
Stan was known for his long career as a truck driver for the Boston Globe, where he dedicated over 30 years of service until his retirement in August 2018. Through his retirement, Stan spent his days meticulously tending to his yard work and always looking for something around the house to be repaired or reorganized.
In his leisure time, Stan enjoyed trips to the casino with Lucy, watching sports, especially the Patriots, and taking his dog Lady on long walks, finding great joy in these hobbies. He was a man of simple pleasures who valued time spent with his family above all else. He would spend weeks getting ready for a visit from his children and grandchildren while giving them frequent weather updates. He adored watching them swim in the pool, play around the house, and taking them on short day trips.
Stan will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace and watch down and protect the rest of us while waiting to be reunited with those he loved so dearly.
At this time, there will be no services. A memorial mass will be planned at a date to be determined.
