Stephanie H. Eggleston-Green's Obituary
Stephanie H. Eggleston-Green
Stephanie H. Eggleston-Green of Edgewater, FL passed away October, 19, 2014 at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia / Flagler in Edgewater FL, where she had been a patient for several days at the age of 75 years.
Stephanie was born on September 30, 1940, the daughter of Ralph and Lila Eggleston. Stephanie and her brother, Charles, resided with their grandparents, Harold and Mable Eggleston on Fox Farm Road in Antwerp, New York. She graduated from Antwerp High School on June 23, 1958, which was the last class to graduate from Antwerp High School. Stephanie was active in all school activities and was dearly loved and respected by all of her teachers, principals, other students and her classmates. Stephanie and her classmates made a point to have an annual get together to report changes in their lives, experiences they had encountered, and of course to reminisce about the good old days at Antwerp High where it was obvious they had formed a bond of friendship that has lasted throughout the years.
Stephanie worked many years as a waitress in the Tupper Lake Region in New York State and enjoyed the beauty of the Adirondack Mountains each summer for many years. She made her winter home in Port Orange Florida working as a health care provider to the elderly and others who needed her services. In her spare time, Stephanie, made her yard into a floral garden and spent many hours basking in the beauty of it. She had many great friends in Florida with whom she enjoyed playing cards, going out to eat, etc. She loved to travel and was a lifetime member in The American Legion.
She is preceded in death by her brother Charles Eggleston, who lost his life in the Viet Nam War.
She is survived by her daughter, Shannon of Tampa, FL, and a son Charles Tanski of Port Orange, FL, and several cousins.
Services will be held at a future date at the Kinne Cemetery on County Route 11 in Antwerp, NY.
Arrangements are under the care of Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service, Port Orange, FL.
