Stephen Christopher Sharp
Stephen Christopher Sharp of Port Orange, FL was born on January 1, 1969 in Canton, MA and passed away March 9, 2015 in Port Orange, FL with his family by his side at the age of 46 years.
Stephen was born and raised in Canton, MA. He attended Canton High School and later Southeastern Massachusetts University. He, his wife Lee, and their daughter moved to the Port Orange area in May, 2004 from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Stephen and Lee were married August 29, 1992.
He will be remembered most by his positive energy, great attitude, his sense of humor and taking on challenges in his life. He was an avid aviation enthusiast, he loved fishing, boating, tennis, computers, outdoor activities, riding motorcycles and ATV’s, and spending time with his family.
He was the founder of Florida Herb House and was a commercial airline pilot. His love of aviation and fellow man led him to flying sick children for free to medical facilities for their treatment. Stephen was a volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House at the Children's Hospital in Orlando and also at The Pine Street Inn in Boston, Massachusetts .
Stephen is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lee F. Sharp, a daughter, Savannah Sharp, his parents, Ann Marie and Joseph “Joe” Sharp, and his sister, Debra Sharp McGillivray.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm from the Countryside Clubhouse , 951 Village Trail, Port Orange, FL 32127. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Countryside Clubhouse; there will be a luncheon immediately following the service for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Halifax Hospice of Volusia / Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
All arrangements are under the care of Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service, Port Orange, FL.
