Steven John Bodo
Steven John Bodo, of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of Canton and Canal Fulton, Ohio; was born on May 6, 1956 in Canton, Ohio, and passed away after losing his courageous battle against metastatic melanoma on June 25, 2013 in Palm Coast, FL at the age of 57.  He never once wavered in his resolve to fight the illness with a strong faith, grace and humility. He will be remembered for his booming, jovial voice, his quick wit, and great sense of humor.
He most enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking and hosting family events, traveling and boating. He had a strong passion for history and politics. He spent over 25 years working in the mortgage banking industry. He and his family moved to Florida in October, 2012
He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Steve Bodo (2009).
Steven is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kelly (nee Souders) Bodo, his precious daughter Kaitlyn; his faithful dog Faith; beloved mother Hilda Bodo and loving siblings Richard Bodo of Carrollton, Ohio; Thomas (and Sandra) Bodo of Palm Coast; and Melissa (Bodo) and James McGrath of Wappingers Falls, NY. He is also survived by his adoring nieces and nephews, Tracey (Bodo) and Douglas Slotta; the magnificent Richard and Dana (McMillen) Bodo; Carissa (Bodo) Leingang and J.P. and Logan McGrath. He also leaves behind Mother-in-law Linda Souders, Father-in-law, Ron Souders and Brother-in-law, Brian Souders, all of Ohio; along with his Aunt Elizabeth and many loving cousins and great nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service, 620 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, FL 32127 with Congregational Care Pastor, Mike Legaspi officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be to the family in care of Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast Florida 32137
