Susan Jean Lindstrom, a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 21st, 2023. Born on December 15th, 1943, in Minneapolis to parents Robert and Jayne Drummond, Susan's journey through life was marked by her unwavering love for her family, her zest for life, and her passion for the simple joys that life had to offer.
In her early years, Susan's family moved to Forest Lake, MN, where they established and owned a drive-in movie theater and charming summer cabin rentals. It was in this vibrant setting that Susan's appreciation for community, entertainment, and family bonding blossomed. Her formative years were rich with experiences that shaped her into the remarkable person she became.
After graduating from high school, Susan embarked on a journey of education and personal growth. She attended college, acquiring knowledge that would serve as a foundation for her future endeavors. Throughout her life, Susan displayed a remarkable entrepreneurial spirit, owning and operating her own clothing store. Her passion for fashion and style resonated with all who had the pleasure of crossing her path.
Her marriage to Larry Lindstrom was a source of strength, companionship, and unwavering love. Together, they nurtured family and pets that became the center of Susan's universe, they moved to Palm Cost, FL over 13 years ago.
Susan's heart overflowed with adoration for her daughter, Shannon Rambow, and her husband Bill Rambow. Her son, Sean Vaughn, and daughter-in-law Rebecca Vaughn.
But it was her three cherished grandchildren – Robyn Rambow, Reed Rambow, and Sedonia Vaughn – who brought an unparalleled sense of joy to her days. Susan's interactions with her grandchildren were a testament to the profound impact she had on her family's lives.
The love Susan had for life was evident in her pursuits. She found solace and beauty in gardening, contentment in beachside moments, and a deep sense of fulfillment in being surrounded by those she loved. Her inner and outer beauty shone through, making her a role model to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Though Susan experienced the profound loss of her sister Mary Jo Donohue, her twin sister Sally Chelgren, and her parents Robert and Jayne Drummond, the weight of grief never overshadowed the love and warmth she brought into the lives of her family and friends. She is survived by her sister Jackie Fladland of Forest Lake, Minnesota. Who she loved to laugh and shop with.
Susan Jean Lindstrom's legacy is one of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear. She will forever remain in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life lived to the fullest and the lasting impact she had on us all.
A Celebration of Life service to honor Susan will be held locally in Palm Coast, Florida in the coming weeks.
