Teresa Marie Anderson's Obituary
Teresa Marie Anderson (née Dzyak)
May 20, 1961 – June 13, 2026 Teresa Marie Anderson, age 65, of Palm Coast, Florida, was called home to her Savior on June 13, 2026. Born on May 20, 1961, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Teresa grew up with a vibrant spirit and a competitive edge, excelling as a swimmer before graduating from Colonia High School. She worked for General Motors and once dreamed of becoming a police officer before disability altered her path. Yet through every trial, her faith in Jesus remained her anchor.
As a single mother, Teresa poured her heart into raising her three sons—Ryan Michael Anderson, Sean Warren Anderson, and Joshua Patrick Anderson Ortiz—with love, resilience, and determination. She did her best under challenging circumstances to send them into the world happy and healthy. She had a strong love for animals and found joy in fostering cats. In her later years, she also developed a deep appreciation for plants, which became a cherished hobby. Though life struck her with tragedy and slowed a woman who once never stopped moving, she kept her eyes fixed on Christ. Flawed yet honest about her imperfections, Teresa was generous, empathetic, and genuinely funny. She loved God above all, followed by her children and a keen interest in political commentary.
Her favorite verse, Psalm 46:10 — “Be still, and know that I am God” — reflected the quiet trust she cultivated amid storms. She cherished the Gospel account where Jesus calmed the wind and waves while in the boat with His disciples (Mark 4:35-41), a powerful reminder that even when fear rises and faith is tested, Christ is sovereign and brings peace.
Teresa is survived by her sons Ryan, Sean, and Joshua; her brother Michael Dzyak and sister Karen Collins; and many who were touched by her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Myron Michael Dzyak and Lorna J. Tune, and her sisters Linda Dzyak and Denise Federoff.
A memorial service celebrating her life, faith and resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 5625 N US Hwy 1, Palm Coast, FL 32164. Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery.
