Theodore “Ted” Peter Koerner
Theodore “Ted” Peter Koerner of Palm Coast, FL was born on July 8, 1932 in Queens, NY to the late Theodore Mathew Koerner and Edna Martha Koerner nee Quick. He passed away on October 1, 2013 in Palm Coast, FL at the age of 81 years.
He graduated from Jamaica High School in Jamaica, NY, and continued his education at the University of Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy in Rolla, MO. Ted was enlisted in the US Army during the Korean Conflict which led to him being a permanently disabled veteran. He and Pat relocated to Palm Coast in 2002 and were members of Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach, FL. He enjoyed Fishing, bowling, playing cribbage, and he was an avid NY Yankee’s fan. Ted will forever be remembered as a very loving and trusted husband and a great father.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Patricia “Pat” of 47 1/2 years, two sons; Theodore Koerner of Old Bethpage, NY and John Koerner of Palm Coast, FL, and daughter Mary Katz and husband Michael of Old Bethpage, NY. He also leaves behind three grandchildren.
Services in New York will be held at a later date following cremation.
All arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service, Flagler County, FL.
