Theresa "Terry" Cain's Obituary
With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Theresa F. “Terry” Cain, 86, of St Augustine. Terry was born in Maui, Hawaii on November 1, 1936 and was affectionately known as “Tutu”. She was one of 13 children born to Joseph and Elizabeth Fernandez. She passed away at her home on June 22, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Terry served proudly in the U.S. Army and during this time she met the love of her life, Russell Edward Cain, and from this union they welcomed three children. Terry was a beautician by trade however, she was so much more to her family and friends that even the word amazing falls short when describing her. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother, caring aunt and a trusted friend. Terry enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, going to the beach and collecting shells, was an avid Florida Gator Fan and loved family gatherings. She will be so greatly missed.
Terry is preceded in death by her parents, 10 siblings, and her loving husband of 63 years, Russell Edward Cain.
Terry is survived by her children, Rusty Cain and wife, Cheriann, Frances Murray and husband, Tom, Michael Cain and Jean; grandchildren, Elizabeth Duncan and husband, Nick, Michael Murray and wife, Olivia, Cailtin, Joseph and Makaila Cain; great grandsons, Christopher, Luke and Noah; 2 brothers and a host of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Terry’s life will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 7, 2023 at St Johns Family Funeral Home, 385 State Rd 207, St. Augustine, FL 32084, with Pastor Ted Dudak officiating. There will be a reception following the service at the St Augustine Shrine Club, 250 Brainard Dr, St. Augustine, FL 32086.
