Theresa "Teri" Phillips' Obituary
Theresa "Teri" Phillips
Beloved daughter, sister, niece, aunt, Godmother, and friend. Theresa "Teri" Phillips was born in Yonkers, New York on August 27, 1969. She grew up in upstate New York and then lived in North Carolina and Florida. She passed away on September 11, 2023, at the age of 54. She now flies with the butterflies.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew L. Phillips Jr. She leaves behind her mother, Frances, stepmother, Patricia, her siblings Andrea, Katharine, and Christopher, her brothers-in-law, David and Rey, her niece, Kaleigh, aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends. She had a very close relationship with her Aunt Eileen and Uncle Mike.
Teri grew up in the Poughkeepsie, New York area and attended Roy C. Ketcham High School. She made a lot of great friends through the years and felt that she had the best "Rock 'n Roll" friends out there. Teri's favorite profession was when she worked in the music industry in New York where she met a lot of her close friends and had the best stories to share about bands she's worked for. Teri was a very driven and passionate person when it came to things and goals that were important to her. This drive helped her to work hard and later in life she was an entrepreneur.
Teri was a very spiritual person and she loved to read at the beach. Her friends referred to her as a sweet person and a bright light. She was generous, and charitable, always trying to spread positivity, and always smiling. She loved nature and wildlife, particularly the mountains, the sound of ocean and rain, waterfalls, and fresh mountain air. She felt that the sound of the ocean was nature's radio and was good therapy. Her perfect days were filled with ice cream, keeping in contact with her friends, and spending time with her beloved pets. Teri was a huge "Rock 'n Roll" fan and felt that the lyrics in her favorite songs spoke to her deeply. She had the most infectious laugh and best smile, and she had the most hilarious sense of humor. She was "magic". She had a huge impact on her family, friends, and everyone she encountered. Anyone who has met her is lucky to have known her.
Teri hoped to hug as many of her friends as she could in 2023. So, when you see a butterfly, know she is with you. She loved you all to infinity and beyond. To honor Teri's memory a celebration of life is being planned, friends and family will be invited at a later date.
Rest in peace Theresa, we will love and miss you forever and ever.
