Thomas "Tom" Buckley's Obituary
The family of Thomas “Tom” Buckley of Palm Coast, Florida is saddened to announce his
passing on July 15th at the age of 70 years.
Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Lorraine; children: Paul (wife, Jennifer)
and Katharine (husband, Robert); grandchildren: Hannah and Abigail; sister, Barbara; as well
as numerous relatives and friends.
Tom was predeceased by his parents Cornelius and Betty; and sister, Carole.
Tom was an avid fisherman, avocational paleontologist, racecar driver, inventor, and
entrepreneur. He had many more pursuits than most would dare attempt and excelled at each of
them. He also loved taking advantage of everything Florida had to offer, from the Flagler Fishing
Pier to Disney World. He was also a self-proclaimed curmudgeon, but no one who actually knew
him would describe him as such. Tom was kind and freely gave of his time to those in need. Tom
was a stroke survivor, and after his stroke in 2001 he would often be found volunteering at local
hospitals helping other stroke patients in their recovery.
A celebration is planned with details to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider making a
donation to the American Stroke Association, https://www.stroke.org/en/ .
