Thomas Allen Kent's Obituary
Thomas Allen (Tommy) Kent, 61, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 21, 2026, at his home in Palm Coast, Florida where he lived with his sister, Cheryl Harrity, and his beloved dog, Roxxie.
Tommy was born in Delaware County (“Delco”), Pennsylvania, to David and Ruth Kent. He was raised in Delco and graduated from Ridley High School. He lived most of his adult life in Southern California. In 2022, with heartfelt intention, he made the decision to move to Palm Coast, Florida to offer strength to his sister, who was feeling the difficult loss of his brother-in-law.
Tommy will be remembered for his engaging smile and easy charm. He was an avid sports fan who remained loyal to his Delco roots, passionately supporting Philadelphia teams, especially the Eagles. He spent most of his career as a general contractor. Tommy put himself into every opportunity; he wanted to leave something meaningful behind through his work and the impact he hoped it would have on others. But the truest measure of his legacy was found in the care, loyalty, and love he gave to the people around him.
In his later years especially, those qualities became the heart of how he is known and will always be remembered.
He is preceded in death by his parents David and Ruth Kent and brother-in-law Dennis Harrity. Tommy is survived by his son, Thomas (Tom), his beloved dog, Roxxie, his sister Cheryl Harrity, his brother George (Debbie), his nieces Melanie (Sean) Donohue and Emily (Sam) Hafez. As well as many close friends from East-to-West Coast and back, who he loved like family.
Services will be private.
Heritage funeral and Cremation Service assisted the family with arrangements.
