Walter Wayne Hill
Walter Wayne Hill was born on September 9, 1953 in Danielsville, GA to the late Eddie and Addie Hill nee Kelley. He went into the arms of God on December 28, 2012 in Daytona Beach, FL, at the age of 59.
Before his illness, Wayne worked as a carpenter. He was an avid NASCAR Racing fan.
In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his brother, Alton Hill.
He is survived by his son, Cohen Wayne Hill and wife Rebecca of Monroe, GA. His brothers, Eddie Hill Jr. and wife Margaree of Danielsville, GA, Milton Hill and wife Pat of Colbert, GA, Donnell Hill and wife Edna of Clermont, FL, Charles Hill and wife Shirley of Exeter, RI, and Curtis Hill and wife Linda of Bryson City, N.C. His sisters, Margie Hill and Delphine Owens and husband Rex, both of Ormond Beach, FL.
His special brother-in-law Rex Owens was his caretaker and like a father to him, therefore Wayne referred to him as “Pops”.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2012 at 1 pm at Faith Baptist Church 497 Flomich Street Daytona Beach, FL 32117 with Rex Owens and Pastor Johnny Pruitt officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wayne’s family.
He was greatly loved and will be missed.
