William A. Schroth
William A. Schroth of Ormond Beach, FL was born on August 23, 1928 in Penfield, NY to the late Alfred Schroth and Anna Schroth nee Kruse. He left this life’s journey on September 5, 2013 at his home at the age of 85 years. Bill was a US Air Force veteran, and a meat cutter during most of his life. He lived in Scottsville, NY before retiring to Florida in 1985. Bill was a member of the Moose Lodge 1263 in Ormond Beach, FL and the United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife Betty Schroth nee Sheffer of 62 years, a daughter Alicia Johnson and husband Peter of New Braunfels, TX, his son Craig Schroth and wife Nancy of Caledonia, NY, a sister Margaret Hendrickson of Albion, NY, his brother Alfred Schroth and wife Joady of Batavia, NY, and his beloved grandchildren; Michael and David Johnson and wife Michelle of Suffolk, VA, Craig Schroth Jr. and wife Leahanne of Piffard, NY, and Carly Eckman and husband Trevor of E. Windsor, NJ. Also surviving are four great grandchildren; William and Rebecca Johnson and Adrienne and Emma Schroth, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 16, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, 336 S. Halifax Dr., Ormond Beach, FL 32176 with Pastor Scott Smith officiating.
