William Ford Baker's Obituary
William Ford Baker (Bubblegum) of Bunnell, Florida passed away peacefully on December 1, 2023, surrounded by his family, and loved ones at the age of 85. Bubblegum grew up in Seville, FL but resided in Flagler County nearly all his life. He was a farmer; he owned his own farm, B&B Farms of Bunnell and was also employed by Johnston Brothers Farm for 69 years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, sports fan, and a professional tobacco chewer. He shared his love of the outdoors with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids as well. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and a friend to many.
Bubblegum was predeceased by his mother and father CJ and Lilly Baker, his first wife of 24 years Mary Helen Baker and his wife Bonnie Baker, brother Lloyd Baker and sister Louise Baker, grandson Carl (Too) Mitchell. He is survived by his brother John Baker, children William (Billy) Baker Jr (Cheryl), Melinda Schalk (Scott), Karen Stella (Jim), Betsy Trapp and Benita Rolling, grandchildren Dakota Baker, James Shalk, Greg Stella (Kelly), Heather Kestner (Jon), Jessica Westbrook (Chris), JR Durrance (Erin), DJ Nobles (Allison), great grandchildren Elena Stella, Stella Kestner, Ellianna Schalk, Sterling (Colbey), Levi and Laci Westbrook, Gage and Lauren Durrance and Caysen Nobles.
Please join us in remembering Bubblegum’s legacy with a celebration of life that will be held on January 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Andrew Kings Mobile Welding Shop 1645 County Road 302, Bunnell, FL. The family is asking those attending to please bring a side dish to share, your own beverage to drink and memories to share with family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family request any donations in his memory be sent to Sassy Paws in Bunnell as that’s where his dog Dolly went for many years.
