William "Bill" Letourneau's Obituary
William (“Bill”) F. Letourneau passed away on May 28, 2025 at the age of 78 surrounded by
loved ones after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Bill was born in Lawrence, MA and
graduated from Central Catholic High School and Northeastern University. He enjoyed his
career in sales and project management in various industries, living and working in New
England, Maryland and eventually moving to Palm Coast and Bunnell Florida.
Bill was very proud of his military service during the Vietnam war where he served as a sharp
shooter in the Marine Corps First Recon Battalion. He was wounded twice during his tenure in
Vietnam where he earned a purple heart, a bronze star and several other medals and
accolades.
A talented athlete and avid sports fan, Bill rooted passionately for all of his favorite New
England teams and played many sports himself, including softball, basketball, hockey, racquet
ball, volleyball, golf, swimming, diving and skiing. He was great with kids and enjoyed coaching
and umpiring Little League baseball games. As a young man he was a thrill-seeker who loved
cliff diving and the fastest amusement park rides.
When he was not tearing up the slopes or smacking a ball around, Bill was an excellent card
player who enjoyed poker, Blackjack, cribbage and other games. He was also an avid reader of
sci-fi, espionage and action novels. Bill traveled all over the world, going as far as Australia, New
Zealand and many European countries including France, Germany, Amsterdam and Italy. He
particularly enjoyed the relaxing environment of the Caribbean and Hawaiian islands.
Bill is survived by many people who loved him and will greatly miss his quick wit and teasing
sense of humor. Among them are his wife, Rose Letourneau; his children, daughter and son-in-
law Michelle and Matthew Draghetti, son and daughter-in-law William and Kristin Letourneau,
step-daughter and son-in-law Emily and Jeffrey Hannigan; his grandchildren, Ryan Letourneau,
Nicole “Coda” Letourneau, Brianna Hannigan, James Hannigan, Thomas Hannigan, Braden
“Brady” Draghetti and Michael Draghetti; his siblings, brother and sister-in-law James and
Helen Letourneau, sister and brother-in-law Carol and John Tuttle, sister-in-law Carol Lemieux;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Imelda Myers and Henry Letourneau, his younger brother
John “Jackie” Letourneau and his nephew David Tuttle.
Bill will be interred at a family service in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in
Agawam, Massachusetts at a future date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s
memory to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (https://tinyurl.com/49mmuxnx) or the Flagler
Humane Society (https://tinyurl.com/6bev7j7d) are welcomed and appreciated.
