Sherry & family,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on Bill's passing. We flew together on the B-767/757 in the mid-80's, and although we didn't always see eye to eye, it was always a pleasure to work with him. Whenever we'd disagree (He'd tell me I was ready to make Capt., but he was the Captain!!), I'd say that I thought my relatives were English and that he was German. Then I'd say, "Bill, you're getting a little German on me again! When he bought me dinner on a layover one night, I knew I had cracked his, at times, crusty shell. Bill had a good heart and he was very good pilot. He is among the last of a dying breed of true aviators. He will be sorely missed.
