William L. Parris
William L. Parris of DeLand, FL, was born on October 29, 1950 in Chattanooga, TN, to the late James Parris and Johnnie Mae Parris nee Marsan. He passed away on February 17, 2013 in DeLand, FL at the age of 62.
William was a US Army Veteran, serving as a Medic and a Sharpshooter. He moved to Florida in the 1960’s from Paris, France. He enjoyed scuba diving, designing and constructing furniture, spending time with his family, and especially visiting Universal Studios in Orlando, FL.
In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by two brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife Anita of 13 years, his sons; Deon Akins and wife Alicia of GA, and Adrian Parris of FL, his daughter; Carissa Parris of FL and his step-daughter; Darmanyce Cleveland and husband Rashad of FL. He is also survived by his brothers; Byron Parris of FL, Maurice Parris and wife Leah of GA, and David Parris of FL, his sisters; Glenda Parris of FL, Denise Pierre and husband Herman of GA, Nicole Henderson and husband Chuck of PA, and Mauricette August and husband Wayne of FL, as well as five grandchildren.
