William R. Olszowka's Obituary
William R. Olszowka passed away in Palm Coast, Florida with his wife Amy at his side, on June 19, 2023. Bill, or Billy O to his extended family called him, was born on April 9,1949 in Munich Germany and shortly move to Erie Pennsylvania. He completed high school in 1967, where he was very active in sports. After high school he enlisted in the Air Force, serving in Vietnam and South Korea, and receiving an honorable discharge. He then began work as a lineman for General Motors Corporation and worked at various locations until his retirement in when Bill and Amy then moved to Palm Coast.
Bill enjoyed Football (Go Steelers), NASCAR, Carpentry and working on cars. He was never one to sit idle. He always had a project going.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, John and Helen and a daughter, Amy. He is survived by his wife, Amy Olszowka, stepson Jeffrey (Kathryn), grandson Carson Moore, Sister in-law Jodi Randall (Steven), nieces Megan and Katie Randall and in-laws Kay Gulick (Donald).
A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later time.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Advent Health and Hospice Care. A special thank you to Art Jones, who has been a wonderful friend to Bill and Amy.
