Williams Richard Plemons' Obituary
William “Rick” Richard Plemons, 79, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on July 7, 2026.
Rick was born December 12, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, and raised there before moving to Como-Pickton, Texas, to attend high school, where he met Linda. He later made his home in Palm Coast, Florida. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, and went on to build a career as a truck driver.
Rick was a natural storyteller, always ready with a tale and a smile. Those who knew him remember his easygoing, happy spirit; he rarely complained, even when life got hard. He was also famously stubborn, the kind of man who would tough out a difficult situation on his own long after most people would have asked for help. In his free time, he loved losing himself in a good book, especially a paranormal romance, or a video game, and he never turned down a bag of chips, a bit of snuff, a plate of fried potatoes, or an ice-cold cherry Dr Pepper.
He is survived by his sister, Vikki Beckham; his children, Katherine Earls (Dean), Richard Plemons (Jillian), John Plemons (Erin), and Mikki Flanigan; grandchildren Nicholas Burns (Hazel), Jordan Peacock (Rowdy), Braelyn Burns, Lance Plemons (Heather), Rachel Combs (Dylan), Georgiana Exum (Andrew), Wyatt Plemons, Justin Wilson, Garrett Plemons, Tyler Plemons, Lorrie Dudley (Randell), Keaton Flanigan, Kameron Flanigan, and Kourtney Flanigan; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Grace Plemons, and Linda Henning, mother of his children.
Arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral and Cremation of Bunnell, Florida. A private viewing for family will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 3:00 PM.
