In loving memory of Zachary Mahaney
Zach, a beloved husband, father son, and dedicated firefighter; passed away September 26, 2024. Born on May 4,1981, in Palatka, Florida to Robert and Rhonda (nee Echols) Mahaney. Zach lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to others.
Zach was not only a family man but also a dedicated firefighter. For over 10 years, he served his community with bravery and compassion, always putting others before himself. His colleagues admired him for his leadership and commitment, he was known for his quick wit and warm spirit, bringing light to even the toughest days on the job.
In addition to his firefighter career, Zach was passionate about music. A talented singer and guitarist, he played at many of the local establishments in his beloved Flagler Beach. Zach was also a brilliant golfer and an avid surfer. He absolutely loved being in the water.
Zach was survived by his wife Cassandra, son Noah, and daughter Ophelia; as well as his parents Robert and Rhonda Mahaney. Noah and Ophelia were the center of his world. His love for his family was evident in every moment they spent together- from trips to the park to cozy evenings at home.
